Forsaken: A Dark Romance by B.B. Hamel & Willow Winters

My Rating: 4 Stars
Series: No.
Sex Scenes: Yes.

Subject: They fall for each other's darkness and then find the light.

Synopsis

She’s safe in her cage. But she can’t stay in there forever.

Depravity. Murder. Darkness.
As a hitman, I’m comfortable with all three. I don’t need anything else.

Until turning down a hit grants me a bonus I wasn’t expecting. Grace Rossi. A mafia princess.

She’s a temporary gift to break and mold into an obedient slave for my employers.

She has no place in my life, but the very thought of her begging for my commands makes me crave something much darker than I ever have before.

I gave her a cage; it’s her safe place. If she stays inside, I won’t touch her. I have to lure her out and gain her trust. I need to earn her submission.

She gazes at me with her gorgeous blue eyes through the bars and I can hardly keep the darkness inside of me from taking her. I almost break all my rules to get what I want.

I’m not supposed to keep her, but one taste of her and I refuse to give her back.

The moment she steps from that cage, she’s mine. I’ve forsaken all else.

**This is a DARK romance. A full-length standalone novel with HEA and no cheating**

My Review

Book Given by the authors for an honest review.

I'm really familiar with BB's books so I was expecting the super sexy and hardcore sex scenes which I loved! But this was my first book from Willow and I can say I'm now a fan!

I loved the darkness in the main characters relationship, that its not everyone's cup of tea, but it just worked perfectly for this two.

The story is not the regular love conquers all and happily ever after kind. It's rough, there's a lot of pain and death that ultimately leads them to their happiness, but it's definitely not a pretty path.

They built their love within a messed up situation and she finds refuge in her captors embrace. Lucky for her he is not as bad as he think he is, he still has some light buried beneath his darkness and she is just the person to help him regain it.

They are both damaged and disturbed by the way they were raised and they haven't had the chance to feel real love until now, which makes them perfect for each other.

Everyone deserves a second chance in life and these two have found their way back home within each other.

It's a really good story, with some scary violent moments that test t he characters as well as the readers, I truly enjoyed it.

Hard Compromise (Compromise Me #2) by Samanthe Beck

My Rating: 4 Stars
Series: Compromise Me #2
Sex Scenes: Yes.

Subject: Love at first sight with years of brewing.

Synopsis
Laurie Peterson assumes her impulsive one-night stand with sinfully sexy Sheriff Ethan Booker is the biggest surprise of the year…until her bakery burns down while she’s basking in the afterglow. It looks like her dreams are up in smoke, but then Ethan proposes a deal too tempting to resist.

Ethan has no intention of settling for a one-night stand with Laurie. Nor does he want anything to do with the women his wealthy family wants him to meet. Not when he’s waited ten years for his chance to make his move. His deal might have strings—and Laurie may not know the stakes—but nothing will stop this sexy cop from staking a real claim on her body and her heart.

My Review

Book from Netgalley given for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this story, it was fast paced but so was my need for the characters, so I couldn't be happier.

Laurie was an interesting character, we get our first look at her personality ten years before the story takes place and I couldn't get enough of her.

She was feisty and smart mouthed, Brooker didn't know what to do with her when she was sixteen and now that she is older the game has changed but she is still the same hardheaded woman, so he has the work cut out for him.

But Brooker isn't like all of the guys she met before, he is relentless when he wants something and in this case it's her. He has waited, and now it's time to collect.

I found him irresistible, he was such a complete package, he was the good guy and also the best dominant lover I've read in a while.
He played with her body the way he liked and drove her insane, but he was still there with his shinning armour to help her in her life the next day . Simply the perfect guy.

The book has a lot of exiting moments and the characters are challenged a little bit, but overall it was a fun ride with no so many bad moments.

It's a story about learning to love yourself so then you can be loved by someone else, if you don't then you will never be truly happy because happiness starts from within.

Man of the House by B.B. Hamel

My Rating: 4 Stars
Series: No
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Subject: Taboo love is so much sweeter.
Synopsis
My house, my rules, and she better f**king like it.

I have a playboy reputation and I earned it. I can’t help it if I leave a trail of soaking wet and satisfied women in my wake.

Until my latest scandal lands me in hot water. Either I fix my image or the board of directors will force me to step down from the company that I founded. It’s bullsh*t, but I have no choice.

That’s why I marry my secretary and closest confidant. We’re not really into each other, but she says she’ll help when I offer her an outrageous sum of money.

It sounds like an easy plan right up until I meet her daughter, Emily. I’m supposed to be good, but her gorgeous curves and innocent baby blues make me want to be very, very bad.

If I get caught with Emily, it’s game f**king over. I’ll lose absolutely everything, and it’ll destroy her in the process.

But I can’t keep my hands off her. She’s so deliciously tempting that I can barely control myself when she walks into the room. I know I’ll ruin her, but she’s begging for me to make it dirtier and dirtier.

She may be incredibly off limits, but I’ll break every rule to get a taste.

Man of the House is a dark romance with steamy scenes and bad language. It’s only recommended for readers 18+.

Man of the House is a STANDALONE, full-length novel. No cliffhanger. Guaranteed HEA. Includes bonus content!

My Review

I got this book by the author for an honest review and like always it was perfect!

If you are in the mood for some fast paced love and some crazy sex scenes with a taboo factor this is definitely the book for you!

BB always creates these sexy, bad ass and players bad boys that we can't avoid to love the second we meet them. There's just something about the confidence and the arrogance that just makes the irresistible.

Carter is no exception, he is trying to get his act together and has come up with a plan that is as crazy as he is, but that can actually work. the problem is he wasn't counting on meeting sweet Emily.

She is young and beautiful and off limits and that just makes her even more of a challenge for him.

She surprised me a lot, she wasn't as sweet as I thought at first and we get to see her become this amazing sexual person that was just what Carter needed, he just didn't know it yet.

They share some sexy unavailable moments and the connection is just too good to miss it!

It is a must read!

Harmony and High Heels (Fort Worth Wranglers #2) by Tracy Wolff & Katie Graykowski

My Rating: 4 Stars
Series: Fort Worth Wranglers #2
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Subject: Someone to love you because of your crazy peculiarities and not in spite of them.

Synopsis
From New York Times Bestselling author Tracy Wolff and International Bestselling author Katie Graykowski comes a sizzling tale of heartbreak, Harley-Davidsons and high heels …

Harmony Wright is a bad girl living a good girl’s life. From the time she was born, she’s always been the good twin. The ladylike twin. The twin her high society (or at least as high society as you can get in San Angelo, TX) mom likes to parade in front of all her garden club friends. She’s gone along with it, too—wearing pearls and Chanel when ripped jeans and motorcycle boots are more her speed. But when Harmony takes off for an extended visit with her twin sister, Lyric, she leaves her good girl persona in the dust …

Dalton Mane knows what it is to be bad and he’s more than ready for the peace that comes with living the good life. Once the crown prince of a powerful biker gang, Bastards of Hell, he walked away from it all when tragedy struck. Now the general manager of the Fort Worth Wranglers, he spends his time wheeling and dealing in the sports world and all while keeping an entire team of football players in line.
When Harmony crashes into Dalton, his tidy little life is over. Will he give up everything to keep Harmony out of trouble?

My Review

Book given by the authors for an honest review.

This is the second book in the Forth Worth Wranglers series so we have already met most of the characters and I have to say I was really excited to read about Harmony, she seemed like a really interesting and peculiar character from what we could see about her in the previous book and she didn't disappoint.

She has a lot of problems based on the fact that she is not truly being herself, and the worst of it is that she is not really sure who that is.

She has spent all of her life being  two different persons, one that is what her mother wanted here to be and the other one is the complete opposite. But she is not sure that rebellious crazy person is really her either. She is fighting to find the middle ground between the two.

Then comes in Dalton, he was sure he knew what he wanted out of this life, until he sees her, she is definitely bad news and he can't get enough of it.

Loving her the way she is might just be the best thing Dalton can do for her, but she is not in a place to see it for what it is. She is scared and insecure, how can she accept someone loving her for who she really is when she doesn't even know who that is herself.

The sex scenes between them are so good, they burn up with a crazy intensity that can't be compared to anything either of them had experienced and that scares both of them.

It was a really entertaining story, reading about all of the crazy stuns she pulled was the best part of it, I've never known someone who could get into so much trouble is such a short amount of time, just priceless.

About the Authors

Tracy Wolff

Tracy Wolff collects books, English degrees and lipsticks and has been known to forget where—and sometimes who—she is when immersed in a great novel. At six she wrote her first short story—something with a rainbow and a prince—and at seven she forayed into the wonderful world of girls lit with her first Judy Blume novel. By ten she’d read everything in the young adult and classics sections of her local bookstore, so in desperation her mom started her on romance novels. And from the first page of the first book, Tracy knew she’d found her life-long love. Now an English professor at her local community college, she writes romances that run the gamut from contemporary to paranormal to erotic suspense.

And for all of those who want the unedited version:
Tracy Wolff lives with four men, teaches writing to local college students and spends as much time as she can manage immersed in worlds of her own creation. Married to the alpha hero of her dreams for twelve years, she is the mother of three young sons who spend most of their time trying to make her as crazy as possible.

Excerpt

“I did knock, but you couldn’t hear it.” Dalton pointed to her smartphone. “Always listen to your music so loud? At that decibel level, you’re looking at another two years before the hearing loss kicks in.”

“Thanks, Dr. Oz, I’ll keep that in mind.” Harmony pulled the first batch of cookies out of the oven.
“Are those oatmeal raisin cookies?” He sounded hopeful, but she wasn’t in the mood for company. Especially not company she was tempted to spread whipped cream all over before slowly licking it off.
“No.” Technically, they were oatmeal raisinless cookies.
“They smell like oatmeal raisin cookies.” He popped one in his mouth. “Taste like oatmeal raisinless cookies.”
And damn it, it didn’t help her little problem that he had the same damn sense of humor that she did. The bastard. Not that she had any intention of showing him how much he turned her on. She might be reckless, but she didn’t do suicide missions, and the tiny voice at the back of her mind, which she usually ignored, told her that tangling with Dalton was going to fuck her up way more than she already was.
She was determined not to ignore it today, especially after last night’s close call.
“So, not only do you break and enter, but now you’re stealing food?” Too bad she’d left her guns by the pool. She could nip this thing—whatever it was—in the bud. “You Fort Worthers are weird. In San Angelo we have better manners.”
His eyes roamed down her body. “Do y’all bake in bikinis? I’ve never been to San Angelo, but I just might move there so I can watch the bikini baking team.”
“Pervert.” As she turned back to the frying donut, she mashed her lips together to hide
her smile. Apparently he liked the way she looked in her bikini—maybe as much as she liked him in that suit.
A quick test told her the donut was ready. Using a metal spider, she fished it out and covered it with a lemon glaze.
“Is that what I think it is?” Dalton’s dark-green eyes turned huge.
“Depends on what you think it is.” She arranged the donut on a plate so that the middle finger was the focal point, then aimed it straight at him. “If you think it’s a donut flipping you off, you’d be correct.”
“Can I have it?” He stepped into her personal space. He was so close she could smell him—sandalwood and something underneath it that was all male.
“No, this one’s mine.” She didn’t back away or back down. Instead, she sucked in the middle finger and bit it off at the root. The smoldering look he gave her conjured images of her mouth swallowing something else entirely. So much for the voice in the back of her head.
Of course, she nearly choked on the mouthful of dough, but the look on his face made it almost worth it.
“Fine.” He shrugged out of his suit jacket, folded it, and hung it on a kitchen chair back. “I’ll make my own.”
Clearly, he wasn’t one to throw his clothes down. It appeared that he liked order. Which made her wonder, if she ripped his clothes off, would he put the groping on hold long enough to pick them all up and fold them?
Not that she was going to find out, but it was a question to ponder. Especially as he rolled his sleeves up and picked up a dough hand. “You want to give me a hand with this?”
His attempt at a joke was lame at best.
She figured the only way to counter was to go lame right back. She handed him another hand. “There you go.”
“Very funny.” He held the dough hand gingerly by the thumb. “Do I just toss it in or what?”
“You need a little more finesse than that.” She couldn’t help herself. She took the dough and with a practiced hand molded it until the fingers met the thumb in the age-old gesture for jerking someone off. Then she dropped it in the oil. “Wait until it turns golden brown and then take it out.”
She flipped her sunglasses down from the top of her head onto her eyes. “Now if you’ll excuse me. The latest Cosmo is waiting for me by the pool.”
“Wait, shouldn’t you stay here and make sure I don’t burn down the house?” He grabbed the spider and tucked his tie over his shoulder.
“Nope, not my house.” She turned and headed back out to the pool.
He whistled his approval of her backside. “Nice.”
Normally, that would piss her off, but it was a free country. He could appreciate her ass just as much as she could appreciate his. There was equality in mutual ogling.
“Not too bad yourself.” She didn’t look back.
It was time to enjoy her one and only vacation this year. When Dalton left, she’d go back in and finish up the donuts. All that caged sex appeal was too much to handle in the confines of her sister’s kitchen.
After setting her plate on the table between two of the six chaises, she folded her chaise flat, laid down on her belly, and propped herself up on her elbows. Then she grabbed her plate and her Cosmo.
“This is really good.” Dalton sat on the chair next to her. “Is that lemon zest in the frosting?”
“It’s a glaze and yes there’s lemon zest.” She flipped through ad after ad.
“You should go on that donut competition baking show,” he said between bites.
“No way. They give the bakers weird ingredients. No one but a paid judge wants to eat a donut made out of ketchup and lemon pepper.” She could go for a chocolate glaze right now. When Dalton finally left, she’d whip up some and dip the donuts in it.
“Mind if I have another one?”
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw him lick his fingers.
“Don’t you have a job?” She continued to flip pages. “It’s the preseason. Don’t you need to go micromanage something?”
“Yes, but I’m hungry.” He winked at her. “And I’m the boss, so I can do what I want … within reason.”
“It seems to me that reason figures a lot into your personal life.” She continued flipping.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” He reached over and used the towel she was lying on to dry his hands.
“I don’t think this is going to come as a shock to you, but you’re dull.” She flipped the page to find “Kuma Sutra—The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.”
“I’m not dull.” His tone suggested that he didn’t believe it either.
“If you say so.” She scanned the article and was a little disappointed—but not surprised—that there was nothing new.
“I happen to live a very full and fulfilling life.” Now he sounded like he was trying to justify his life choices to her. Or, more likely, to himself.
“Of course you do.” She flipped more pages.
He stood. “I’m going to make myself another donut.”
“Good luck with that.” She didn’t bother to look up.
He stood there waiting for something—probably for her to get up and help him. “Don’t you want to make sure I don’t burn myself?”
“Nope, I’m good.” She handed him her empty plate. “Can you put that in the sink for me?”
He glanced down at the plate, and she could tell he was trying to decide how to play this. It was almost cute, the way he thought he had a shot of one-upping her. But she’d been trained by Livinia Angleton Wright on how to put—and keep—men in their place. He was going to have to work a lot harder than this to shake her up.
Eventually, he took the plate, but he didn’t head back inside. “Do your tatts have meaning or are they just random things you picked out?” He moved closer, until he was standing over her blocking her sun.
Geez. This guy was harder to get rid of than chlamydia.

My Review

Book given in exchange of an honest review on Netgalley.

I've read the first book in the series so I was already familiar with the characters, but in this book we get to know all about Darius and Taylor.

Darius was such a mystery for me since the first time I read about him. We get to see him in his role as Allie stepbrother and also as an owner of the sex club empire, but I knew there was so much more hiding behind his walls.

Him being so overprotective of Taylor was a pleasant surprise, I knew he had it in him, that deep down he had feelings and love for others. Unlucky for us, he doesn't know it yet.

Taylor was just as I expected her to be, she is so pure and sweet, with her what you see is what you get, she gives her heart to everyone she meets. She's always been a fixer, and she is finally realising the reason behind her obsession of helping people fix themselves.

A book about real love, about putting that person's happiness before yours. This kind of love is hard, messy and most of the time you have to fight for it, but when you finally get there you are rewarded with the best kind of happiness.

An Amazing read, you will suffer alongside the characters but in the end you will see it was worth the pain.

Broken Angel: A Princes of Hell Novel by Amanda Jones

My Rating: 5 Stars
Series: A Princes of Hell Novel #2
Sex Scenes: Yes.

Subject: Fallen Angels finding their light back.

Synopsis
Mara is a beautiful and talented surgeon with everything going for her...at least on the surface. She has a dark secret she has kept buried for centuries.

Bataryal is a fallen angel broken beyond repair...or so it seems.

Will the beautiful surgeon who saved his life also be able to redeem him, or will Bataryal's damaged soul lead them both into the depths of Hell...

My Review

I got this book by the author for an honest review and I was thrilled!

I've fallen in love with this group of misfits angels, demons and other creatures, so when the author offered me this chance I couldn't resist! And I have to say I'm glad, this book is just as amazing as the first.

So, the fallen Angels are threatened by Satan's evil forces again, but now the catch is that they have no idea what they are. They are no longer bound to Satan, but they didn't get their wings back like Lucifer, so they don't know their weaknesses or strengths yet and that is a really big problem.

Bataryal is in danger and lucky for him he ends up in Mara's OR, the connection between them is so strong that she can feel him, even though she has no idea who he is, I loved that about the first scene. I hate to spoil so that's all I telling about the story, It just blew me away, how hard she fell for him, even though she hasn't let herself feel anything that strong since before she was turned.

This story revolves around two things, the difficulty Mara has with setting roots and accepting someone's love, because based on her experiences she has only been played and she hasn't let herself feel love since the night the love of her life betrayed her.

And B's problem is not so different, he feels like the dark in his past has tainted him in such a deeper level that everything he touches dies or gets ruined, so he has set his mind not to be near Mara under any circumstances.

But life has other plans and they both find themselves fighting for their lives and their friends, against Satan's strongest puppet.

In this book we get to see a little bit more about the fallen angels and the way in which falling has really affected them; the suffering they endured and how that bounded them together.
The relationships between them are starting to shape up in our eyes, and they are no longer Luc's pals, they are different tortured creatures and each have his own kind of hell in their minds and hearts.

I just can't wait to read all of their stories.

Last but not least, AMAZING sex scenes , I just couldn't wait for them to realize how good they were for each other, and in the end, destiny always win, they should just let fate lead the way.

Priceless (Amato Brothers) by Winter Renshaw

My Rating: 4 Stars
Series: Amato Brothers.
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Subject: Everybody deserves to be number one in their own love story.

Synopsis
*An Amato Brothers x Rixton Falls standalone crossover*

It was New Year’s Eve, and I should’ve been ringing in the night with cheap champagne and bad decisions at home in New York. Instead I found myself holed up in some hotel room in southern California.

But I wasn’t alone.

I was in the company of a fellow stranded traveler by the name of Cristiano. We spent one night together – forced into the same hotel room by the snowstorm that cancelled our flights and changed our lives.

His dimpled smile, panty-melting kisses, and charming wit were a temporary distraction from the chaos of the day. But as soon as morning broke, I set my sights on getting home. I rented a car, mapped out my 2,749 mile journey, and packed my bags.

Only Cristiano insisted on joining me. He needed to get home, too. His best friend was getting married on Saturday. And he refused to let me go it alone. It wasn’t safe, he said.

Trekking across country with an alluring stranger was certainly one of the more adventurous moments of my life. Falling for him was certainly one of the most daring. But uncovering his secrets? That was the most challenging. And the truth I learned . . . would shatter us both.

My Review

Book given in exchange for an honest review.

It's my first encounter with the Amato brothers and all I have to say is wow, I can't imagine there's more of this amazing and sexy guys hiding somewhere in other stories.

These two characters find themselves in a tricky situation and decide to team up to get home. Since the moment they met there are sparkles going off every time they interact and even though at first it seems as if they are totally different and could never get along, they find a rhythm that works and I couldn't get enough of them.

The way in which Daphne gets him to open up was impressive, she is the kind woman that he can't seem to say no to, she is real and says what she thinks, she is herself all of the time and Cristiano finds that irresistible, since he hasn't met anyone like her before.

When they decide to go on this crazy road trip, they get this incredible chance to really get to know each other with no pressure.

Both of them have been running away from their pasts, and since they both have been hurt, they split whenever things get tough. But there's no running now, they are stuck together and that might just be the best thing that could happen to both of them.

They changed everything for each other without realizing the exact moment that happened, but it has, and now they need to find a way to be each others happily ever after.

Things get complicated before they can get better, their fears play a really important part, can they let them go and find happiness? Or will they quit and leave before they can get hurt?

A really fun and beautiful story, about opening your heart again and letting go of your fears caused by past heartache.

Dark Angel: A Princes of Hell Novel by Amanda Jones

My Rating: 4 Stars
Series: A Princes of Hell Novel.
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Subject: Where there's darkness there's light.

Synopsis
Katia may be a celebrated musician, but she'd always felt a little like an outsider looking in. Who knew that being abducted by a handsome stranger would set her on a crash course with her destiny...
Luc has spent an eternity keeping everyone and everything at a distance as an unstoppable darkness consumes his soul. Will his beautiful captive be his salvation, or will they both be consumed by the ultimate evil...

My Review

Book given in exchange of an honest review on Netgalley.

It's been a while since I read a fallen angels novel and now I remember why I loved them so much!

This is my first book from this author and I've added her to my favourite author's list.

This is also the first time I had the opportunity of reading about Lucifer as a good guy kind of character and I have to say it was unexpected and refreshing!
I never thought I could fall in love with the prince of hell but I did, he was amazing, all tortured soul and great heart within.

I think he might be the first actual bad boy in its truest form; no one has a more tortured soul than the angel who caused the falling, and his suffering is what in the end saved him.

We always imagined him as someone with a dark soul, who has no chance of being saved or redeemed for his past sins; but in this book we get to experience his suffering and a spark of hope that just needs some help to gain strength and fight the darkness that surrounds it.

The characters were really well defined and detailed, you just have to love the team of fallen angels, the way she describes them, I think someone might die if they shared a room with them, just perfection.

The story takes us on a different path than what we are used to, and we get to see them all team up to save the girl. She is someone who never felt liked she belonged and oddly enough feels like she is coming home in this group of misfits.

The darkness, the light and the ones that are just in the middle of those, team up to save the world as we know it, and they have a fun and thrilling way of telling us the story.

It was an amazing read, I empathised with the characters, you could truly feel their pain and the way the darkness had replaced the things that used to be light within them. She is slowly saving them all, but mostly Luc, who thought he would forever be lost, found a way to be selfless and overcome his biggest fault to finally be redeemed.

Love can change everything, even the darkest soul can shine again when they find a reason for it.

I can't wait to read the rest of their stories.

My Review
Book given in for an honest review on Netgalley.

Let me start by saying I haven’t stop thinking about this book for more than 48 hours, it took me a day to read it and the rest of the time, I spent it trying to get over that crazy cliffhanger.

Since I started reading the book, I knew there would be something tragic happening to the characters and it kept me hanging till that last page where the words to be continued haunted me. So all I have to say to the author is, well done! I was hooked and couldn’t put the book down for a second.

I love my rock bands like any other woman in the world, but I really felt connected to BAD, they were not what you would expect rock band members to be, they were actually pretty cool and collected guys. Well, all except from Sawyer, who was obviously my favorite character, who doesn’t love a bad boy with a tortured soul? I am a sucker for that, so of course I wanted him to be the chosen one.

Noah was something different altogether, even though they were twins; they couldn’t have been any more opposite. His personality and actions kept changing the way I pictured him in my mind, he was such a good boy, that I found myself being surprised when Amelia described his body during sex scenes and I realized he was also a badass rock star full of tattoos and sexy muscles.  He just seemed so sweet and loving that when compared to Sawyer in my mind, he ended up looking like a sweet boy next door kind of guy.

Apart from the sex, and the rock music, the story was really beautiful and at the same time it was extremely sad.  All of the characters had dark spots in their pasts that had changed them so deeply and ultimately shaped who they were today.

Two twins so different, but at the same time two halves of the same whole. Together they made the perfect man, happy and sweet versus tortured and dangerous, and both of them hotter than sin, I don’t think It would have been an easy choice.

Last but not least there was Amelia, she was such a contradiction, she seemed so cautious and sweet, but lurking beneath the surface there was a wild side of her she had kept hidden from the world, some deep and dark  secrets of her own.

Overall it was an amazing book! I can’t wait for the next one; I literally need it now to survive!

Dirty Trick (Perfectly Matched #1) by Christine Bell

My Rating: 5 Stars
Series: Perfectly Matched #1
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Subject: The right person can change everything.

Synopsis
A sexy category romance from Entangled's Brazen imprint...

This matchmaker's about to meet her match...

Grace Love is lousy with men. She can spot a match for someone else a mile away, and her balls-on instincts are why her matchmaking business is thriving, but finding her own Prince Charming? The only guy who makes her sixth sense tingle is her playboy best friend, Trick, and no way is she risking their friendship, no matter how hot she knows the sex will be.

SWAT officer Trick Mathews is a patient guy, but Grace’s inability to see what’s right in front of her is grinding on his last nerve. Yeah, he blew his shot at breaking out of the friend zone when he tamped down the urge to lick her from head to toe the day they met, but he’s got a plan that’ll change her mind. Incognito at Salem's hottest Halloween party, he’ll show her exactly how good they could be…and that he’s the man for her.

My Review

Book given in exchange of an honest review on Netgalley.

I LOVED this book, there’s just no other way to explain how I felt about it! I read it on Halloween so the timing couldn’t have been better.

I liked the characters from the start, Trick and his plan were the best part of the book, and I laughed a lot picturing him speaking as Christian Bale on a Human-tiger costume.

The lie was a really big problem, I knew it would be bad when it unraveled, but it was really fun to watch.

Grace is a beautiful, lovely and smart woman, but her self-esteem has suffered a big blow and she is not herself anymore, she is scared and this big lie might be just what she needs to finally free herself.

It’s a story about true love, about getting back to your own self and loving yourself without doubts and inhibitions. To feel free to be who you really are and never feel afraid of asking for what you want.

The anonymity provided them with the perfect opportunity to forget about what people would think and just feel, the raw passion that assaulted them when they were together was so good I couldn’t put down the book for the whole day. I kept walking into walls and people, that’s how good it was.

Overall an amazing and fun read, there’s nothing that’s just okay in this book, everything exceeded my expectations.

I can’t wait for Serena’s and the bachelor story!!
