Hilarious love story involving two stubborn people who are so alike they can't seem to spend more than 5 minutes in a room together without trying to kill each other.

Jamie was a strong and talented woman struggling in a men's world; but she was not ready to quit doing what she loved, no matter how many interviews she had to go to.

She had a feeling about this job though, it felt like a second chance, but she really wasn't expecting Dexter. She was certain it was hate at first sight, but she couldn't stop thinking about him, and once she got to know him it got worse.

Dexter was sure hiring her was a mistake, but he couldn't help himself. He masked it as a competition he wanted to win, but he knew in fact, he was not letting her walk out of his garage the moment he saw her.

The story was extremely fun; they way in which they fought was super entertaining and it could only mean they were going to be explosive once they accepted they were meant for each other.

The sexual tension during the whole book was crazy intense! They were a breath away from tearing each others throats and clothes at every encounter.

Dexter changed so much since the beginning of the book; at first we see him as a douche but once he lets his walls down, we see he is actually a pretty decent and dreamy guy.

A must read for sure!

“Can I help you?” I asked.
He blinked and met my eyes.
“What the hell are you doing over there?” I pushed to stand up straight.
“Right now?” He capped his water bottle. “Well, honestly… I’m just thinking you’d look better over the hood of that car than under it.”
I unhooked the hood and slammed it down, spinning on the balls of my feet.
Our eyes met properly. I didn’t like what I saw in his—desire, attraction, need. Which was obviously why a shiver ran down my spine.
I cocked a hip, putting my hand on it. “The only time you will ever get me over a hood of a car is if a wiper blade needs changing. So, unless you’re a wiper blade...”
Dex pulled his phone from his pocket and started tapping the screen.
I blinked. “What are you doing?”
He peered up at me through his unfairly thick eyelashes. “Seeing if I can get a wiper blade costume for Halloween.”
“I don’t even know how to respond to that.”
“You can buy wiper blade glasses.”
“What?”
He raised his eyebrows. “And a lady here on eBay will hand-make any costume. There’s my Halloween sorted.”
I stared at him. “You’re not getting me over anything, Dex. Definitely not a car hood. No matter what you think.”
He clutched his chest dramatically. “You wound me.”
“Unfortunately not fatally,” I muttered.
“You also underestimate me.”
“There’s a lot of that going around in this garage.” I put the bottle of coolant away.
“Touché.”
“Thank you.”
“Can I ask you something?”
I sighed and turned to face him again. “What?”
Earnestly, he asked, “Can you stop wearing those tiny shorts? Or yoga pants that make me want to touch your ass every five minutes?”
I looked down at the ripped shorts of my dungarees. “Can you keep your thoughts to yourself? Control yourself, maybe? Not look at me and see someone worth screwing?”

The Bachelor Contract (The Bachelors of Arizona #3) by Rachel Van Dyken

My Rating: 5 Stars
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Series: Yes, The Bachelors of Arizona #3
Subject:They deserved another shot at happily ever after.
Synopsis:
A second-chance romance from the #1 NYT bestseller of The Bet, Matchmaker and Elite series!

She's everywhere.

Ex-wife.

Love of his life.

The last person in the world he wanted to see...ever.

And now that he's working beside her every day, he can't escape her. Her scent, glimpses of her smile, even the tension in the air that makes his body hum with the kind of need he'd only experienced with one person-all of it is driving him over the edge.

Brant Wellington was certain of three things:

Alcohol wasn't going to solve this.

He really was losing his F-ing mind.

And his gorgeous ex-wife was going to be the death of him.

She did it again! The Bachelors of Arizona Series is becoming one of my favourite! These men can't get any better, hotter or perfect in any way.

Brant was a yerk, he knew it, his family knew it and so did we, since we had a chance to get to know him in the last books. But he had a secret, he had been hurt so bad we can't even imagine how someone could survive something like that.

But so was Nikki, she lost just as much; and Brant wasn't strong enough for her when she needed him the most, he run and never looked back.

Like in any good story, they both had different memories of what happened and with good reason, they didn't have all the facts. So they let hate and hurt keep them apart for this 4 long years.

But now they were together again and there was no escaping the fact that they still had feelings for each other. Nothing was lost between them it was just separated by these thick walls they had built around their hearts as a way to survive the lost they both suffered.

They had the NOW and they were for sure gonna make it count, even if it destroyed them both.

I LOVED this story, not only because its about real people but because its not just hearts and rainbows.  These characters have been through hell and still have hope and love for each other, and that's what true love is all about. Surviving the unimaginable and coming out stronger than before together.

An Ex for Christmas (Love Unexpectedly #5) by Lauren Layne

My Rating: 5 Stars
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Series: Yes, Love Unexpectedly #5.
Subject:The right one who has been there all along.
Synopsis:
She’s making a list—and checking it twice. But is there a nice guy among all her naughty exes? The New York Times bestselling author of Blurred Lines returns with a charming friends-to-lovers rom-com.

When a psychic tells spunky, superstitious Kelly Byrne that she’s already met her true love, she becomes obsessed with the idea of tracking him down before Christmas. Kelly immediately writes up an “Ex List” and starts contacting old boyfriends to figure out which one is the one. When her college sweetheart rolls into town, Kelly convinces herself that they’re meant to be. The trouble is, sparks are flying with someone she’s never given a chance: her best friend, Mark.

Mark Blakely has watched the guys on Kelly’s list break her heart, and he’s not looking forward to watching them do it all over again. Mark’s always been there for her, but the timing’s never worked out for their relationship to be something more. Now, just as Mark is ready to move on, the sexual tension between them is suddenly off the charts. With Christmas morning around the corner, he just hopes Kelly will wake up and realize that everything she wants has been right in front of her all along.

A funny and witty story about the type of love that has always been there but sometimes we are too bind to see or too scared to confront.

Kelly was a strange and hilarious character, her whole list idea was probably one of the worse I heard in a while, exes are that for a reason, you might not remember right away but there is always something that caused that relationship to fail and time probably wont fix that.

Yes there are some relationships that seem to have had the "not the right time" factor involved, but those are the minority.

Mark's patience with her was unbelievable. She kept making mistake after mistake, and kept choosing losers over him, I wouldn't have been so lenient with her.

My favourite part of the book was his soul baring moment, he had always been there for her, and he tried time and time and again to get her to notice him, but the timing always seemed wrong, instead he settled for the best friend role, which probably caused him a lifetime of hurt.

The teaching moment of this book would be to never let this things go on for so long, if you love someone GO FOR IT, tell them how you feel. Worst case scenario, they say no and you can move on.

There's only one chance at life, we don't get do overs.

Excerpt
As I walk, I check the weather app on my phone, delighted to see that while it’s nothing but rain today, there’s a chance of a snow shower tomorrow. Nothing says Christmas break like snow.
I just miss my train, but there’s a decent-ish voice singing “White Christmas” nearby, and the platform’s not too crowded, so waiting’s not as bad as it could be.
My eye catches on a middle-aged woman who’s set up camp under one of the stairwells. It’s not unusual to see all manner of people under the streets of New York, although this one’s better dressed than most. She’s wearing a blousy red shirt, jeans, and ankle boots, and is sitting cross-legged on a plaid blanket. She’s got twigs of what seem to be fake roses in her hair.
None of that’s the weird part.
What’s weird is that she’s watching me. Intently.
We make awkward eye contact, and I give a quick smile before turning my attention back to my phone.
But I still feel her eyes on me.
Not in an unfriendly way, not in the way that makes me mentally catalog whether or not I saw any cops on my way down here who would hear me if I scream. She doesn’t seem eager to push me onto the train tracks either, and since that’s every New Yorker’s secret fear, that’s a plus.
Still, the focus is unsettling. I glance up again, and her eyes lock on mine. Her dark gaze is clear and focused, and I can’t decide if that’s more or less disturbing than if she seemed sort of hazy.
Then she smiles right at me. “Kelly.”
I get immediate goosebumps for reasons that have nothing to do with the winter weather. She knows my name.
“Come.” She beckons. “Come. I see.”
Now you’re thinking, Hell, no. Run!
I should be thinking the same, and on some level, I am, but . . .
There are a couple dozen people around. None are paying attention to me, but it’s not like I’m all alone in a dark alley.
And look, we’ve already established that I believe in fate expressing itself through a Magic 8 ball and horoscopes, and though I haven’t mentioned it yet, I totally avoid black cats, the number thirteen, and walking under ladders.
I also believe that there’s such a thing as sight. I know, because my grandma had it.
Grandma Shirley was one of those delightfully batty old ladies that most people dismissed as quirky, but nobody can deny that she seemed to know stuff. She knew when I’d win my soccer game, and by how many points. She knew when her cat’s litter of kittens would be born, down to the minute. Once she’d even predicted an earthquake, even though they’re really rare in New York.
She’d passed away when I was in eleventh grade (she’d predicted the when and how of that too), and though I didn’t inherit her talents, I’ve never stopped believing that some people see and know things that they shouldn’t. I call it the Sight.
I step closer, and the woman grins and beckons me even nearer.
I stop a healthy few feet away. I’m superstitious, not crazy.
The woman leans forward. “You seek love.”
Huh. Color me unimpressed. I mean, don’t most humans seek love? Sure, I’m recently single, and I don’t particularly want to be. And maybe I sometimes try a little too hard to find my forever guy.
But I’m not hearing anything other than generic lucky guesses from this lady.
“Sure,” I say, already starting to back away.
She holds up a hand. “The one you seek? Your forever guy, the love of your life . . .”
I freeze, because her phrasing echoes my thoughts almost exactly. A coincidence? Maybe. I don’t move away just yet, willing to hear her out.
She smiles again. “You’ve already met him.”
I blink. “What? I think you may want to recheck that crystal ball. I’m single.”
Her smile merely grows. “I didn’t say you weren’t single. I said you’d already met him. You just let him go. He’ll come back to you before Christmas.”
Whoa whoa whoa. This is . . .
Huh.
“You’re telling me that the love of my life is one of my exes?”
She extends both of her palms as though to say, There you have it!
I stifle a little surge of disappointment. Clearly she hasn’t met my exes. There are some decent ones in the mix, but mostly they’re duds, and none of them make my heart beat faster. Well, maybe—
Nope. No. Do not go there.
Thankfully, I feel the rumble of an oncoming train, and a glance over my shoulder tells me my ride outta here is approaching.
“Thanks very much,” I say with a strained smile. “Merry Christmas.”
“Happy holidays,” she says with a nod, standing and gathering up her blanket. Apparently she’s taken a cue from Madison Meyers and is sticking close to the PC route. Fair enough.
I lift a hand in a wave and move toward the train, but her next words give me a fresh wave of new goosebumps.
“Tell your parents happy anniversary. Thirty’s going to be a magical year for them.”
I whip my head around. “How did you—”
The woman is gone.
Like vanished gone.
Leaving me to wonder . . .
If a woman I’d never met was right about my parents’ anniversary, was she also right about other stuff?
Have I already met my one true love?

Wicked Torture (Stark World #3) by J. Kenner

My Rating: 5 Stars
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Series: Yes, Stark World #3.
Subject: The last second chance.
Synopsis:
Sometimes, it feels so damn good to be bad …

From New York Times and #1 International bestselling author J. Kenner, the first in an all new series of fast-paced, provocative novels centering around the ambitious, wealthy, and powerful men who work in the glamorous and exciting world of the Stark International conglomerate … and the sexy and passionate women who bring them to their knees.

Outwardly, Noah Carter is riding high as the tech world’s hottest new genius. Inside, he’s still reeling from the abduction of his wife and baby daughter eight years ago, and then the devastating discovery of his child’s body. For years, he kept up hope that his wife was alive, but now that she’s been declared legally dead, he’s thrown himself even more deeply into his work, cutting himself off from emotional ties because they just hurt too damn much.

Then he meets Kiki Porter, an eternal optimist with a killer work ethic and dreams of fronting a band. And everything changes. Even though he tries his damnedest to fight it…

Sexually, they are combustible together. But their true fire is emotional, though it is a slow to burn. But once it lights, it is all consuming. The relationship grows emotionally, the sex is hot, things are good.

But just when it’s looking like they might have a real future together, the past comes back to haunt them. And Noah’s going to have to decide what he’s willing to give up for love …

This is one of those books that shakes the ground under you when you read it, the characters found their way into my heart and I couldn’t be happier.

We all had that kind of lost love we hoped would return and breath life back into our broken hearts, and most of the times unluckily it doesn’t happen.

But that’s not the case for our main characters Noah and Kiki, their story was heartbreaking every step of the way.

He had a choice to make all those years ago and he chose to rip her heart out and destroy her soul.
He knew he was doing that, not out of hatred or need to hurt her, but the circumstances he found himself in, didn’t seem to leave him with another choice.

Kiki lost everything when he left, her muse was gone but after years of trying she was slowly getting back on track, but of course faith would throw her a curve ball.

I could only imagine what she felt when she saw him standing there, I’m pretty sure the world stop spinning for a couple of seconds, and she forgot how to breathe. Because when you see that person that stole your heart your body kind of stops and restarts itself back again.

They have two big choices to make now; are there still feelings between them? And if that’s the case, are they willing to let go of their feelings and trust each other again?

Beautiful heartbreaking story!

EXCERPT
Time to heal.
Somehow, though, he never found the enthusiasm. Or maybe that was just an excuse. Another way of punishing himself for walking away from the woman he loved in favor of the woman he’d owed.
And since he’d never have either of them again, he needed to kick his own ass, pick up the pieces of his life, and start building something real. After all, there wasn’t a tech gadget he couldn’t design, build, or repair. So why was he so clueless when it came to his own damn life?
It was time, and it would be easy. Painless even, because God knew Evie embodied everything he admired in a woman. Strength. Intelligence. Ambition. Humor. Beauty. She was as desirable as Lyle had promised and obviously enthusiastic.
In other words, he was all out of excuses.
He stood up, intending to tell her to lead the way. But the words that came out of his mouth shocked them both. “I’m sorry, Evie,” he said. “You’ve been wonderful, but I have an early meeting, and I should probably get home.”
“Oh.” He’d surprised her as she was rising, and now she teetered awkwardly on her heels, as if his unexpected words would physically topple her.
He reached out a hand to steady her, and for the briefest moment, he considered pulling her close and fighting his way past his hesitation. She was everything he should want in a woman—with the unfortunately insurmountable problem that she wasn’t what he wanted at all. Or, rather, she wasn’t who he wanted.
Goddamn him.
Goddamn his stupid, unrealistic fantasies.
And while he was at it, goddamn Kiki, too.
He was being an idiot and unfair, and he knew it. An idiot, because he’d made his choice to walk away from Kiki long ago, and he knew damn well that he’d shattered her in the process. Even if he could have seen his way clear to look her up after all these years, he’d forfeited his right to come crawling back.
Unfair, because not ten minutes ago he’d been ready to take the plunge with Evie, and yet here he was, dodging and shifting like a damn coward, trying to swim up out of the deep black ocean of loss and pain. A familiar pain that wrapped him like a blanket, so cloying it was almost comfortable. And he knew damn well that there was only one way to fight it—he needed to take the girl to her room and try to fuck the darkness out of him.
The way he’d done with countless other women.
The way that never worked like it should. That only dulled the sharp edges of his pain, but added no light to the darkness.
That wasn’t what he wanted. Not anymore. One of the reasons he’d moved to Austin was to heal, after all. To heal, and to break bad habits.
Still, it was tempting, and it took more strength than he expected to shake his head again and say very gently, “I really am sorry. I’m not … ready.” She’d been polite enough not to mention the tragedy in his past, but he was certain that Lyle must have at least told her that he’d lost his wife and daughter. Hopefully, that softened the blow of rejection.
She’d regained her footing, and now she stepped back, her forehead creased as her eyes flicked over him, expertly assessing him as she would a witness. “It’s been almost nine years, I’m told.” The sharp edge of her voice sliced his heart. So much for softening the blow. “If you don’t get ready soon, I can’t help but think you’re going to end up sad and alone.”
With a thin, sympathetic smile, she turned and walked away, leaving him to watch her go and wonder at her perceptiveness. Because she was right.
He was going to end up sad and alone.
Hell, he already was.

Cuffed by His Charm (Dirty Little Secrets #4) by Stacey Kennedy

My Rating: 5 Stars
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Series: Yes, Dirty Little Secrets #4.
Subject: Choosing happiness
Synopsis:
A tabloid scandal unites a powerful mogul and a woman from the wrong side of the tracks in this tantalizing novel from the USA Today bestselling author of Bound Beneath His Pain and the Club Sin series.

The multimillionaire owner of a chain of successful Irish pubs, Gabe O’Keefe loves being in the spotlight almost as much as he loves women. But when all his secrets are exposed in a shameless tabloid, his glistening reputation takes a hit. What hurts most is learning who sold him out: sweet and sensual McKenna Archer, his own employee. Gabe thought he could trust her. But now he’s got bigger problems than keeping his hands off McKenna.

After putting a difficult past behind her, McKenna would never betray Gabe. But she knows someone who would: her brother, a compulsive gambler who owes money all over town. To make things right, McKenna will have to set aside her feelings for her boss. Easier said than done. Gabe oozes pure temptation. But when they team up, McKenna sees that he isn’t the manwhore she always thought. He’s strong. He’s real. And the heat between them is the only thing that makes sense anymore.

All of the secrets they been trying to uncover reveal themselves in this book and I couldn't get enough.

This time it was Gabe and McKenna's time to write their story, but it was not gonna be easy, they had a lot of secrets and bad blood between them.

Gabe misjudge her and he put their relationship at risk by not trusting the person he knew her to be. But she saw through his anger for her allege betrayal and accepted him again because he was all she needed.

Unfortunately, the truth didn't set them free, it just complicated everything a whole lot more.

Very bad people and a troubled family member threatened their lives and it's up to them to decide whether this is going to destroy them or bring them together stronger than ever.

The chemistry between them was insane, they been holding off each other for a really long time and when they finally let go it was close to perfection.

McKenna has a lot to decide, but she was true to herself all along, she knew that she wanted Gabe and in the end there wasn't really a choice to be made.
