Wicked Play (Part 1 of 10) by Lynda Aicher

My Rating: 4 Stars

Series: Yes, #1, Part 1 wicked play series.

Sex Scenes: Yes.

Subject: Discovering what your body needs and fulfilling your deepest and darkest desires.

Summary
Behind the doors of the Twin Cities' most exclusive BDSM club, The Den, pleasure reigns supreme. Here, every secret fantasy will be fulfilled, every forbidden desire granted—but only if you're brave enough to ask.

Part One of Ten

"It's now or never."

Cali Reynolds knows in her bones she's a submissive. And now that she's free from her passionless marriage, she's going to explore each and every fantasy she's ever had at The Den, the most exclusive sex club in town.

Jake McCallister knows what he wants and won't accept anything less from a partner. But when a beautiful divorcée shows up at his club looking for fulfillment after years of denial, he's intrigued—and takes it upon himself to initiate her into the pleasures she's been missing.

As their play intensifies, so does their bond. Now Jake doesn't want anyone but Cali, but is he ready to officially claim her? And will she submit to being his forever?

My Review

I got this book on Netgalley for an honest review, and even though it's a part 1 out of ten and that usually comes with a short story that doesn't add up to anything, it was actually a good book.

The story was captivating, and most importantly it had a good Dom, why is that important? well, a lot of books just give us a hot guy who commands but it's so much more than that. The Dom needs to connect with his submissive like Jake did, and own her.
He focused on what she needed and that made the scenes deeper and more intimate.

Jake's character took her to a place where she was free, where her mind was not focusing on anything other than pleasure and we felt it through the pages.

Cali was also portrait perfectly, she was the shy inexperienced sub who had all of her desires hidden and slowly let them break free, it was something amazing to watch through the pages.

This story has a lot of potential and I can't wait to know what happens next.

Vein Of Love (Blackest Gold #1) by R. Scarlett

My Rating: 5 Stars

Series: Yes, Blackest Gold #1.

Sex Scenes: Yes.

Subject: Loving with all your heart against all odds.

Summary
"Darkness isn't all one shade, sweetheart."

Three centuries ago, Molly Darling’s ancestors signed a contract in blood—daemon blood—to protect themselves from harm. On the eve she turns nineteen, Molly leaves for her birthday party against her parent’s wishes, sick of their warnings about her “betrothal to a demon.”

Except that she’s very much betrothed, and he’s very much a demon—one who’s only agreed to the nuptials to steal Molly’s ancient daemon powers. Brash, arrogant, and built like a Greek god, Tensley Knight keeps showing up to save Molly from otherworldly attacks, only to insult her a moment later.

As Molly learns more about the demon world, she realizes two things: that her family’s safety depends on a successful marriage, while any chance of freedom she’ll ever have calls for Tensley’s demise.

Yet sometimes Molly spots a tortured soul beyond those liquid grey eyes, and there’s no denying the way her skin tingles when Tensley touches it. In Vein of Love, safety requires sacrifice, foe becomes lover, and one must decide whether to kiss...or to kill.

My Review

I got this book on Netgalley for an Honest review and it really surprised me, I fell in love with it !
I love supernatural books, and demons and Incubus are one of my favourite, so this was right up my alley.

The writer describes this amazing world in such detail that you feel like you know the characters, and connect with them from the start.

I loved Tensley, I'm a sucker for bad boys with tortured souls and he fitted the bill perfectly.

Molly was a hard character to like at first but when we get to know her a little bit we realise she is stronger than she looks. And it makes sense that she wouldn't know how to react given the mixed signals Tensley threw her way.

The most interesting part of the book is that the whole problem between the main characters resides on the fact that Tensley is scared of getting a whole heart.

It's a romantic concept in my opinion, he was fighting his feelings for her but they were too strong and we get glimpses of what his real self might look like.

That cliffhanger at the end KILLED me I can't wait to find out what happens next, there are so many good and bad possibilities for them in their future.

Body Shot (Last Shot #1) by Kelly Jamieson

My Rating:  4 Stars
Series: Yes, #1 Last Shot Series.
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Subject:  Opposites do attract

Synopsis
The bestselling author of the Heller Brothers series stirs up a tempting cocktail of fun and seduction as a sexy SEAL-turned-bartender treats a buttoned-up scientist to a wild weekend . . . and a change of heart.

Former Navy SEAL Beck Whitcomb left a world of privilege to prove he could make his own way. Money, mansions, expensive cars—none of it could heal the loss of his older brother, or buy his parents’ love. Now, after using his trust fund to open the Conquistadors tequila bar with his brothers-in-arms, Beck has it all: good friends, fine liquor, and hot hookups. When it comes to women, commitment’s not his thing—until he gets a taste of the pretty professor who walks into his bar . . . and winds up in his bed.

Hayden Miles knows all too well that emotional decisions can lead to heartbreak, and nothing screams “bad decision” like a playboy bartender with inked biceps and a wicked smile. Still, their chemistry is off-the-charts explosive—and Hayden knows her chemistry. For once, this good girl longs to let loose. But is she willing to risk the pain to quench her thirst? With the promise of more on the table, Hayden’s eager to believe . . . before she misses her shot.

My Review

I got this book on netgalley for an honest review, it's my second Kelly Jamieson's book and it was exactly what I was expecting!  I loved it!!!!

Hayden was this secluded, shy and dorky woman who lived for her job, and loved every minute of it.

Beck was this strong, hot, ex seal guy who loved to mess around and lived for the thrill.

At first sight they had nothing in common, but they were both lonely, their lives left them ending their days on a lonely home and up until they met they didn't even realize it.

They were combustible together, the sex scenes are SO good, they just make sense.

Foolish of them to think it would be just a fun ride.

Driven by their fears they fight their love from the start.

Not being good enough is a scary feeling for both and they find out that they only needed each other to fix that.

Lovely story with an amazing first sight encounter.

If you live for this type of swoon worthy live story this is the book for you.

Bookish by Olivia Hawthorne, Olivia Long

My Rating: 4 Stars

Series: No.

Sex Scenes: Yes.

Subject: Finding the greatest love of your life and learning to love yourself.

Summary
My name is Aubrey Britton. I was your every day average nerdy book blogger, obsessed with the hot guys on the covers but lusting from afar. I knew I'd never meet a guy like the ones in my books, with muscles like that, with eyes like that, with a mouth like that.

I knew I was destined to be an old maid, get a bunch of cats, work at a book store and live in my fantasy world until the day I died.

Hot, steamy sex was something reserved for the girls in my books, not a girl like me.

Until the day I literally fell for Isaac James, the hottest man to grace the cover of any romance novel.

And he wanted a girl like me.

And he had muscles like that.

And eyes like that.

And a mouth like that...and was a filthy talking sex god in the bedroom.

But we both had our secrets and we both had our guarded pasts. When all was revealed, would the nerdy book blogger get the guy?

Or was I destined to be alone forever?

Rated 18+ for insta-love, filthy talk, dirty sex and swoon worthy descriptions of the hottest man in the world.

My Review

I got this book by the author for an honest review and I have mixed feeling about it.

Let me explain, I really enjoyed the story, the idea of your dream man falling head over heels for you is just brilliant!

He was HOT, perfect in every way and he wanted her like she was which made him even dreamier.

Now, Aubrey's character ... mmm she had such a low self-steam that at moments I wanted to kick her and stop reading. She saw herself so horribly that she spent most of the courtship time with Isaac thinking about her supposedly ugly body and why would he be into her.

Her friend Chloe, WOW, she is a bad person; yeah I'm going to call her that, how can someone be such an awful friend, just because you had a crush.

And then again, Aubrey found herself in a horrible situation that she could have avoided, yeah, she should have kick her to the curb on the first night.

You should NEVER let someone treat you the way she treated Aubrey, you deserve to be loved by your friends, if they are not happy when you are, then you need to start analyzing if they really are your friends.

On another note, the sex scenes were perfection, they made sense and they got into the steamiest sexy moments.

Overall, I really liked the book, it was different in a good way, just don't take Aubrey as an example, even though she went through a crazy transformation, she was really bad to herself during most of the book.

Summary

Left with no other choice, he must summon all his discipline to maintain JT's trust and pretend that they're still friends. But how far will Beck go to prove his loyalty to Sela? He nearly lost her once. To keep her, Beck might have to kill for her.

My Review

I got this book on Netgalley for an honest review and it’s the second one on the Sugar Bowl series.

In this part of the story we get to see Sela and Beck get back together and connect on an even deeper level than the first book, there’s no more secrets between them and that makes them stronger.

The sex scenes are still as good, they can’t seem to get enough of each other and everything seems to be working out for them.

They start with their plan to get revenge on JT and things are looking good. But nothing is always as easy as it seems and they still have a long way to go.

Getting revenge is a difficult path and they have to ponder what are they really willing to lose to get it, sometimes it’s not worth your future and happiness.

Violence, secrets, revenge and lies make this book thrilling and captivating.

If you’re looking for a love story with an evil twist this is the book for you.

Nova: A Scifi Alien Romance (Rebel Lords #2) by Kylie Gold

My Rating: 4 Stars
Series: Yes, book 2 in the Rebel Lords Series.
Sex Scenes: Yes, thank you!
Subject: True knee-weakening Love knows no race or planet.

Synopsis:

These ruthless aliens dominate everything they come across—especially their women.

Julia Spear never expected to get abducted by a dangerous, wild alien warrior, let alone find him as attractive as he was deadly. She came to Shaviro to help oversee daily operations for the largest mining company in the galaxy, and it was supposed to be an easy job. But when Julia becomes a prisoner of war, she finds herself torn between her need for freedom and her overwhelming desire for the wild alien that took her.

Nova, warrior prince of his Navani tribe, never wanted to find his mate during a raid on the human scum. Small, curvy, and gorgeous, the human girl attracts him more than he could ever imagine. Her scent makes his heart race, and he can’t stop himself when he takes her as his prize. The humans are supposed to be his enemy, but he's sure that the girl is his true mate. Nova can’t turn his back on his destiny, no matter how much he hates her people.

The war between the humans and the Navani rages on, with Nova and Julia stuck in the middle. Unwelcome among the Navani and outlaws among the humans, can Nova and Julia find a way to survive this deadly war together?

Adults only! This full-length science fiction alien romance contains violence, swearing, and lots of steamy sex. Nova is a standalone novel, no cliffhanger, guaranteed HEA, and includes the first book in the Rebel Lords series, Dracon!

My Review

I got this book for an honest review by the author, Yes ! the second book in the Rebel Lords series and it was just as good as the first one.

In this book another Navani tribe is trying to survive the human invasion of their planet, and they have their minds set on killing them all, but again fate has other plans when it throws beautiful and strong Julia in the way of the savage warrior Prince Nova.

It's a kind of hate at the first sight type of story, which only makes it hotter! They long for each other from the moment meet and it only gets worse with the time they are forced to spend together.

Love beats everything they say, and in this case it's just that, these two fight with they minds, traditions and society human and alien equally, until they decide that nothing else matters.

They just need to follow their hearts and let everything else fall into place, ultimately that would hopefully be the salvation they need .

Thrilling, entertaining and with some definitely crazy sex scenes, it's a book worth your while.

If you are in need of a good sci-fi +sexy warriors + love, type of book this is the story for you.

The Disappearance of Catherine Brodie by Grace Harper

My Rating: 4 Stars
Series: Yes.
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Subject: Love, death and destiny.
Synopsis:
Catherine Brodie has a happy life in Brighton, she has friends, a secret boyfriend and almost at the end of her law degree.

However, everything changes when she reaches her twentieth birthday.

Two weeks later, she attends the funeral of her brother and parents. Each birthday following sends Catherine into turmoil with more heartache and misery. There are those that wish her harm.

Alexander Devlin was there the night of her birthday and by coincidence, he crosses paths with her every year. Catherine dismisses the coincidence, but her best friend Tara Adkins is convinced fate is throwing them together.

The first novel of a new quartet that tells the story of Catherine Brodie and her struggle to come to terms with what she did that had far-reaching consequences. It is an epic tale of love, passion, and revenge.

Devastated with her loss, Catherine carves out a new life and starting her own business. The group of friends she picks up along the way helps her hide from those who wish her harm. It doesn’t take long for her harasser to find her and make her life a misery once more.

The question is, will Alexander Devlin be there in time to save her?

My Review

I got this book for an honest review by the author and it was certainly an entertaining one. We get to follow Catherine through her accident filled life and watch as she transforms from daddy's little girl to a totally different kind of animal.

My favourite part of the story was Alex's and Catherine's encounters, like clockwork they met the same day every year, and even if they didn't they were connected somehow.

This book tells us the story about how a person can get lost in pain and still navigate through life showing people only her outside armour.

She's trying to find her place in the world, to discover who she really is, and she is not scared to experiment.

She is surviving, only going through the motions and not letting anyone get close enough, but as times goes by she is actually thinking she is close to having a break, but apparently life has other plans for her.

I can't wait to read about the next part of the story, the cliffhanger left me hungry for more!

Seducing The Boss by Mari Carr

My Rating: 4 Stars
Publication Date: August 1, 2016
Genres: Adult, Entangled Pulse, Contemporary Romance.
Series: No.
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Subject: Boss/ Payer/ Best friend can mean the same.
Synopsis:
Kellan James is unwinding at Score when he spots the last person he’d ever expect to find in his favorite bar. Sara Connelly—ER nurse, do-gooder, charitable crusader, and frequent pain in his ass. Both grew up privileged in swanky Southampton, but that’s where the similarities end. Kellan’s made it his mission to seek out life’s pleasures; Sara gains pleasure from lecturing him on his lifestyle. Kellan would never date someone like her. Ever.

But when Kellan discovers Sara’s been stood-up by an online date, something fierce and protective awakens inside of him. Typically, Kellan would enjoy teasing the jilted Sara, but something in her face sends him over to her table with a plan. He encourages her to take a walk on the wild side, one weekend of sin, no holds barred.

She accepts, but it quickly becomes apparent that one night isn’t enough. As the pull between them grows stronger, Kellan discovers it’s a very dangerous thing to say never.

My Review

I got this book for an honest review by the author and it was incredible!

The sex with the boss content is always steamy hot, but in this case is was even deeper, they’ve known each other forever, they are friends who most of the time annoy each other to death, until he really sees her.

Kellan is a player, he goes through woman like he is in a race, he takes what he wants, when he wants it, and now he happens to be staring and wanting someone he shouldn’t.
Sara is a regular girl who loves to help people, and that’s why she works as a nurse, her job is her life, so much that there’s nothing else in it apart from that.

The characters were defined and relatable; we love Kellan from the start even though he is kind of a player, scared and traumatized man. Sara is just the best! Strong personality and just enough spice.

Their relationship was so pure and beautiful that you are able to connect with them from the first chapter.

I was thinking to myself the whole time ‘mmm yeah just sex, you guys are so smart! Why don’t we see how this works out for you?’

Over all it was a cute and amazing book, the whole idea that two people might have been in love with each other forever but never really realised it because they weren’t actually seeing each other correctly is lovely to me.

What can I say? I’m a romantic, it’s a must read!

EXCERPT
“You’re not leaving.”
She tilted her head curiously. “What?”
“Let me clarify. You’re not leaving alone. You’re still missing the obvious answer.”
She frowned, confused. “Really. And I suppose you’re going to enlighten me?” She glanced around the room. “Which Prince Charming have I overlooked?”
“Me.”
She laughed. Loudly. Kellan didn’t take offense. If someone had told him he’d be propositioning Sara tonight, he would have told them to fuck off. Kellan prided himself on his his role as Mr. Right Now. And even though she said she was looking for something like that tonight, Sara was ultimately searching for forever. That wasn’t him.
Plus, there wasn’t a doubt in his mind that Sara had never indulged in anything more scandalous than doggy style. But that didn’t mean she didn’t want to. It just meant David was a bigger ass than
Kellan had realized.
When Kellan didn’t crack a smile, she sobered up, looking at him curiously. “That was a joke, right?”
He shook his head.
She opened her mouth to tell him all the reasons why what he was suggesting was wrong. He wasn’t interested in hearing them.
“My offer is sincere. And before you launch into that grocery list of excuses why we shouldn’t sleep together, I want you to consider the reasons why we should.”
Sara invited him to continue, with a crooked grin that told him she had zero expectation of him changing her mind. “I’ll admit I can’t think of one reason why this is a good idea, so color me curious. Why do you think we should have sex with each other?”
“Because, despite your assertions that you’re interested in a one-night stand with a stranger, I know you better than that. You won’t cut loose, won’t indulge in all those kinky, wild things you’re dreaming of with a man you don’t trust. And, the truth is, you shouldn’t. It’s not safe.”
She bit her lower lip, her expression telling him he’d hit the mark.
“You trust me.” It wasn’t a question that needed to be asked.
“That doesn’t mean—”
“I’m more than able to give you what you want, Sara.”
“Able doesn’t mean willing.”
“I’m very willing.”
“That’s not overly encouraging, Kellan. You’d fuck anything with two legs.”
He narrowed his eyes angrily. He’d let her sucker punch him before because she’d been hurt, but that didn’t mean he’d continue to be her whipping boy. “Sara—”
She raised her hands. “I’m sorry. God. What a hateful thing to say.” Sara rubbed her forehead, weariness laced with depression coloring the action.
Kellan reached out and grasped one of her hands in his. “It’s okay. I know what you meant.”
She didn’t try to pull away from him. “You’re my boss.”
He chuckled. “I’ve never noticed that stopping you from doing whatever you want anyway.”
She was his biggest adversary at work, the two of them continually butting heads.
Maybe starting this had been a mistake, but he wasn’t taking the offer back. Now that he’d spoken the words aloud, he wanted Sara with a need that was painful in its intensity.
“You’re my friend.”
Once she said it, he understood that was probably the biggest—maybe the only—thing holding her back from what he was suggesting, which was smart on her part.
Regardless, he wasn’t backing down.
“For the first time in our lives, we want the same thing. You want a one-night stand, and I want to have it with you. You want to explore your wild side, and I have the experience to guide you through those desires—safely. You don’t want a lifetime with me, and I have no intention of making a long-term
commitment. Everything lines up. It’s fate.”

GOODNIGHT SWEETHEART, GOODNIGHT is a New Adult romance novella of approximately 23,000 words. It's a heart-wrenching story of first loves and last chances. It's a short read, but it packs a powerful punch!

My Review

I got this book on Netgalley for an honest review, I chose to request it because there was something about the description that caught my attention, so I decided to follow my gut.

The book is a short read and I found myself thinking for a second, where is the rest? I need more ! But actually I didn't, it was just long enough to make an impression on me and fulfil its purpose.

What might that be you want to know? Well, this book tells us the story about a broken girl/woman, that's still in love with his first love, which in this case ends up being his only love, since the world is ending.

It makes us think, where would you want to spend your last day on earth? the clock is ticking and you know the exact time it will all be over, Where would you choose to be, what would you like to be doing and with whom?

Nan was faced with Dean, who was everything she ever loved and hated.

The concept that in the end nothing else matters, not the time people wronged you or how they hurt you and humiliated you, it's just that person that is giving you what you always wanted and there's no use on talking about your issues, because it won't make a difference you will die in just hours, you just get tonight.

What I felt while reading this book might be separated in two, first I found the idea of nothing mattering freeing and truly fascinating, this is not the type of book were the leading characters gets all the answers and fixes her hangs up on the past.
No, she just exists for the moment, the author created this sort of alternate reality where the characters existed for that moment in time detached from their memories, their past and present.
The second reaction I had was a lot like despair, it left me feeling moved and at the same time lost, it sounds a lot like mumble jumble but that's just how I felt, not easy to explain, you might have to read it and find out for yourself how this book makes you feel.

Go Hard: A Bad Boy Sports Romance by B. B. Hamel

My Rating 4 Stars
Series: No.
Sex Scenes: Oh yes!
Subject: Sexy sex-escapades and some mafia thrilling moments.
Synopsis
I get paid to work that cocky jock’s body.

I landed my dream job working as a physical therapist for a professional football team just as my boss decided to go ahead and give birth. When she left, I was assigned the biggest challenge of my life: Owen Rack.

Owen is the rookie running back, and he’s one cocky a**hole. Just because he won a bunch of awards in college doesn’t make him the best thing ever. And yet I’m stuck working on his body every morning and every night while he whispers dirty things in my ear.

We work together, which means we can’t get involved. But try telling Owen that. He takes what he wants, and for some reason, he wants me.

Worse than that, Owen has a dark past. As soon as I give in to his gorgeous smile, I’m suddenly drowning in his secrets.

I can’t risk my dream job. I won’t risk my safety. But Owen’s cocky grin is driving me insane, and I know I’m going to say yes.

Go Hard is action-packed, incredibly steamy, and features some dirty language. It’s only recommended for audiences 18+.

Go Hard is a standalone, full-length novel. No cliffhanger. Guaranteed HEA.

My Review

I got this book for an honest review by the author and I feel like I don't need to say this again, but it was Steamy Crazy Good!! Like all of B.B 's books.

This time we get to read about a cocky womaniser football player named Owen who we don't get to see being a ladies man since he falls hard for Taylor the moment he sets eyes on her.

And the taunting and sex innuendos begin, he is on a mission to have her and even though she is fighting hard, there's no fighting this Alpha male, he gets what he wants, when he wants it!

The plot has some amazing twists and just enough tension to keep us holding our breath, it's a thrilling read.

The sex scenes, were just the perfect combination of sexy, rough and dominance, I couldn't get enough of this two!

Taylor is a strong character and she fights him until the surrender is inevitable, we don't blame you girl!
