Blind Love (Cowboys & Angels #5) by Kelly Elliott

My Rating: 5 Stars
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Series: Yes, Cowboys & Angels #5
Subject: Some loves are worth every heartache.
Harley and I had our whole lives planned out, until her plans changed, and those plans didn’t include me.

After years spent trying to get the love of my life out of my head and repair my too-damaged heart, I thought I was finally moving on…but life sure has a funny way of letting you know when those best-laid plans are about to be turned upside down.

My entire world was rocked when Harley unexpectedly moved back to Oak Springs. Every miserable moment I’d spent trying to get over her and every hour I’d wasted trying to erase her from my life came back to haunt me the minute she walked into my office, fear in her eyes, and asked me for help. Would I…or better yet, could I walk away from her this time after all that she had put me through?

What I really needed to know is would I be able to forge ahead with the future I had so meticulously planned—one that didn’t include Harley—or will her return finally open my eyes to a future full of endless possibilities?

This family is going to be the death of me. These men are just too much! They are wild and passionate but once they find their true love they are unstoppable.

This Book tells Tripp and Harley’s story, we have been waiting to hear what had happened in his past that made him how he is now; and the time is finally here.

He has been harboring so much hate for her all this years, he can’t seem to look past it and he is unable to give her a chance, in his heart she doesn’t deserve it. She broke him years ago and he still hasn’t been able to get all his pieces back together.

Harley has been holding on to a secret so big it has been slowly killing her. She is sure this is the moment to come home, and once she does, everything will be finally back to normal, she will have her happily ever after.

One stupid decision has changed her life forever and she is hoping there’s a way to fix it. Cause living without him is not an option.

But as we know, things are not as easy as we would like them to be, and Tripp is not letting her close again, he claims to hate her with all his heart. But slowly as pieces fall into place he realizes that he has always loved her, and turning his back on her again would mean losing her forever.

What would it be staying in his safe a confortable life or opening his heart and risking her breaking it all over again?

Siren Beloved (Texas Sirens #4) by Sophie Oak & Lexi Blake

My Rating: 4 Stars
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Series: Yes, Texas Sirens #4.
Subject: Love always finds a way.
Re-released in a second edition with new content.

Aidan O’Malley walked away from his fiancée, Lexi, and their best friend, Lucas, after a night of passion left him shaken to his core. When Aidan returns home from Iraq, he’s haunted by all he has lost. The enemy broke his body, destroying his dreams of a career in music. Worse still, he lost Lexi and Lucas. That damage he’d done all by himself. While he can’t restore what combat took from him, he’s determined to reclaim the two loves of his life.

Lucas Cameron is a changed man. After connecting with his brother, he found the discipline to get his life on track. His legal career is flourishing, but his love life is a train wreck. The woman he loves is spiraling out of control. After Aidan abandoned them, Lucas and Lexi clung together but no matter how hard he tries, Lucas can’t find a way to heal the wounds that Lexi carries.

Lexi Moore feels like a jigsaw puzzle with too many missing pieces. Losing Aidan was hard, but the true reason for her shattered spirit is a secret she only shares with her beloved Lucas. She knows she is drowning and the time has come to heal, but the holes in her heart hold her back from moving on. Shedding the burden she carries is her only hope for a happy future, but she fears she will never have the strength to reveal her secret.

When Aidan walks back into their lives, Lucas and Lexi know everything is about to change. But as they fight to reconcile their past and reclaim what they lost, a vicious predator stalks Lexi. In order to stop the killer, all three must confront the secrets they’ve carried…before they’re buried by them.

Barnes & Noble:

Aidan, Lucas and Lexi’s story was just what I needed.

Aidan had made a choice that almost destroyed them all, those years ago and now he wanted them back for good.

His life had been hell after leaving them, he found a way to change into the type of Dom they needed and he was ready to get his favorite Subs back. The question was will they forgive him?

Lucas was living half a life, he loved Lexi, and if loving her meant he had to let go of his switch side then he was ready to do that. Bu in reality leaving that part of himself unattended would slowly destroy him. You can try to push your needs under the rug, but they will eventually show their ugly face.

Lexi was lost, after Aidan left them she lost a part of herself, and apparently whatever happened in the accident took the last part. The only reason she was holding it together was because Lucas was there for her. He kept the broken pieces in place with unbelievable love and affection. But was he enough of a Dom to tame her wild side? And would she be able to let him give up his need to submit?

The whole idea seems insane and Lexi is ready to push this situation every step of the way, opening herself up to Aidan again would mean revealing her secrets and giving him the chance to break her heart all over again.

She is not sure she wants to risk having hope that they could work out again, only to be shatters to pieces again when he leaves them,. She is certain she won’t be able to survive this time.

Aidan knows the feeling of being on the verge of losing everything, so he won’t back down, they need him and he will show them or die trying.

NY Times and USA Today bestselling author Lexi Blake lives in North Texas with her husband, three kids, and the laziest rescue dog in the world. She began writing at a young age, concentrating on plays and journalism. It wasn’t until she started writing romance and urban fantasy that she found the stories of her heart. She likes to find humor in the strangest places and believes in happy endings no matter how odd the couple, threesome, or foursome may seem.

Lexi realized she was in serious trouble the minute the words left Lucas’s mouth. Hell, she’d realized she was in trouble the minute she opened her mouth. What was she thinking? She knew damn well how to behave in a dungeon, but something about this Master made her want to push him. Damn it. She’d been this way all of her life. She had to push. She thought about taking a step back, but before she could make her feet move, Master A had her in a fireman’s hold.
“Hey!” She shouted as her world upended. She turned her head up to throw a desperate look Lucas’s way.
Lucas stood there, a stony cold look on his face. In that moment, he was all Dom, and she’d never seen him look hotter. There was a confidence about him she had rarely seen when he was around her. Lucas was utterly in command at work, but his surety faltered when she walked into the room. Even when he performed a scene with her, she knew he worried about her comfort. He didn’t look worried now. He looked ready.
Her heart started to pound as Master A turned, and she lost sight of Lucas.
“I need a chair, Lucas.” The words came out of the Master’s mouth like a judge delivering a sentence.
“Yes, Sir.” Lucas’s words were silky smooth. There was not a hint of hesitation now. She could hear him moving to do Master A’s bidding.
“What do you think you’re doing?” she asked, though she was a bit less hostile now. She’d fucked up. She was glad Julian wasn’t around to witness it, though Leo would probably tell him. Tears pricked her eyes. Damn, she was proving to Leo she couldn’t handle the lifestyle. “Look, Sir, I’m sorry. It was wrong of me to be rude to you, but I was merely pointing out that Lucas and I had a plan for tonight.”
Reason. She could reason with him, surely. It worked on all the men in her life. Of course, usually she was looking at them instead of trying to plead her case to a group of back muscles. The muscles were unbelievably tight, but his skin—oh, his skin had been decimated in his lower back. It was a mess of white, puckered flesh, and she could see both neat, surgical lines, and jagged edges. She reached out to touch the mass of scars, but she was jerked back over his shoulder and set on her feet before she could make it. She wobbled on her heels, but Master A’s big hands held her shoulders.
“I don’t think you understand how this is going to go, sub. I am the Master, and you are the one being punished. I won’t put up with a spoiled princess telling me how her punishment will go. It will go the way I say it will go. First, you will pay for the insult to me, and then we’ll proceed to the sawhorse.”
“I don’t like the sawhorse.” The words came out breathy and small, because she was beginning to understand that this was serious.
Master A didn’t look like he was planning on giving in. And she hated being called a spoiled princess, but a part of her worried that he was right. The last few years, she’d allowed herself to become spoiled and dependent. She’d fled from everything that hurt her. She’d hidden. She’d let her stepfathers and Lucas coddle and provide for her so she didn’t have to face the truth.
Master A didn’t flinch. “I don’t care. Lucas has done the best he can, but the truth is he wasn’t trained to be a Dom. He might enjoy it from time to time, but he prefers bottoming. You require a firm hand. If you don’t want it, then you’re free to leave. No one is holding you against your will. This is all about consensual play, so you have to make the choice. Do you want the session to continue?”
She hated this part. This was the part that she’d never understood. She had to make the choice, and she couldn’t put it off on anyone else. She wanted for him to simply do it. Then she could blame him later, but that wasn’t what The Club was about. She’d been coming here for over a year, and she finally had to decide to make the choice—stay and put herself in the hands of a stranger, or go and never know what it was like. And then there was the fact that Master A was right. Lucas needed something she couldn’t give him.
She cast her eyes down submissively. How bad could it be? “Yes, Sir.”
“Then strip.”

I Think I Love You (Oxford #5) by Lauren Layne

My Rating: 5 Stars

Sex Scenes: Yes.

Yes, Oxford #5.

Subject:Would you risk everything for love?

A game of seduction between two best friends goes deliciously wrong in an irresistible Oxford Novel that brims with wit and sexual tension. Library Journal hails Layne’s work as “exemplary contemporary romance.”

Brit Robbins knows that dating in New York City is hard—she just hoped to have it mastered by age thirty. But after yet another promising suitor says they have no sparks, Brit decides it’s time to torch her dating game and try a new plan. And who better to coach Brit through the art of seduction than the guy who first gave her the “let’s be friends” card?

Hunter Cross has always figured there’s nothing his best friend Brit can do to surprise him. But Brit’s request is a surprise he doesn’t see coming—and one he’s definitely not prepared for. Hunter and Brit have always been careful to keep things perfectly platonic, but the fake dates and faux flirting are starting to feel like the real deal. And soon Hunter realizes he has taught Brit too well. Not only has she become an expert at seduction, the man becoming thoroughly seduced is him.

Lauren Layne’s New York Times bestselling Oxford Novel series can be read in any order:

The Redemption series: ISN’T SHE LOVELY  | BROKEN | CRUSHED

Brit and Hunter's love story was perfection!

Friends that become lovers type of plots are never easy, the transition always make for the most incredible and funny books. But they also break your heart the most, because this two people who are perfect for each other are blinded by their friendship status and they miss the obvious for the longest times.

Brit was everyone's best friend type of girl and there was nothing wrong with that, it just got super lonely.
Being the one that never gets chosen is not a fun thing to go through, it made her feel like she was not good enough; that she would forever be stuck in the best friend department and no one would truly love her.

She knew Hunter was gorgeous but she never felt that way about him, or maybe she had never really looked into her feelings for him.

Hunter had never seen Brit in a different light, for him she was the best friend and the most amazing crazy woman he knew.

But after she shares her plan with him, things begin to slowly change. Seeing her as this seductive woman ignited something inside of him and now he can't seem to turn it off.

The problem is that taking this leap and choosing to go for this strong feeling would put at risk their friendship and they are both scared of what might happen if they realize it was all a mistake.

Would you risk everything for love?

And finally is was time for the last book.

I have been waiting for Brent and Elena's story since I first saw them together. There was something between them from the start and even though Brent tried to fight it some things are strong enough to overcome all the obstacles we put in from of them.

Elena knew she wanted Brent and his age and daughter didn't scare her off. She was sure she could be who he needed her to be. Her age was not something that was gonna stop her from pursuing the love of her life.

In the end, it will be up to Brent to decide if he is willing to open his heart again.
He had been hurt deeply in his past and he had been living his life without really opening himself to love. Not letting anyone get close enough to hurt him or his daughter was the safe road, but it didn't lead to a happily ever after.

He now had a chance to find true happiness, but his fears might make him lose this opportunity and leave him wondering what could have been.

Love is pain and you have to be willing to give up your heart and risk getting it broken, because that's the only way to let love find you.

The question is will he be a player or an spectator in his life?

The Real Deal by Lauren Blakely

My Rating: 5 Stars
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Series: No.
Subject: Can something fake turn into the real thing?
Get ready for your next favorite romantic comedy, THE REAL DEAL!

April Hamilton wants you to know she hasn’t been on GigsforHire since that time she sold her futon after college. She doesn’t even spend that much time online. And even if she did, she would not be looking up personal ads. But going home alone for her family's summer reunion is an invitation for every single relative to butt into her personal life. She simply can’t handle another blind date with the butcher, the baker or the candlestick maker from her hometown. So when she finds the GigsforHire ad for a boyfriend-for-hire, she’s ready to pay to play.

Heading Home and Need a Buffer? I’m the REAL DEAL.

Theo Banks has been running from the past for years. He’s this close to finally settling all his debts, and one more job as a boyfriend-for-hire will do the trick. He’s no gigolo. Please. He’s something of an actor, and he knows how to slip into any role, including pretending to be April’s new beau -- the bad boy with the heart of gold.

Even if it means sleeping in close quarters in that tiny little bed in her parents’ inn. Even if it means spinning tales of a romance that starts to feel all too true. What neither one of them counts on is that amid the egg toss, the arm wrestling, and a fierce game of Lawn Twister that has them tangled up together, they might be feeling the real deal.

She only wanted to show her family once and for all that she had no need to settle down.

He didn’t expect to have the time of his life at her parent’s home.

They didn’t plan on loving every single second of the game.

But can a masterful game of pretend result in true love?

April and Theo's story was fun and beautiful, from the first time they saw each other they knew it was a recipe for trouble.

They clicked from the start without any issues and their fake background stories always felt so real that we could all see them happening without a doubt.

April needed a buffer for her family reunion and he was almost too perfect for the job, she knew her instant attraction to him would be a problem but she had no other choice.

Theo was a professional, he never had an issue with keeping things strictly platonic, but he was definitely having a hard time resisting April. There was just something about her that called to him on a deeper level.
They were both so different and at the same time perfect for each other.

But Theo had many secrets that could end up ruining everything. He had to not only open up to her but confess his deepest darkest secrets, that had made women run in the past.

Could she be able to look past his mistakes?
