Wicked Envy (Wicked Horse Vegas, Book #3)
Sawyer Bennett
Release Date: October 27, 2017

The best of friends.
Two men. One woman.
A sinful playground called The Wicked Horse.

Entrepreneur turned millionaire, Dane Hawthorne, has been known to get his kicks at The Wicked Horse Vegas, and he has no shortage of beautiful women waiting for a shot at him. Driven to succeed, no matter if he’s in the boardroom or the bedroom, Dane never backs down from a challenge.

Avril Carrigan isn’t the type of woman to take risks in her personal life but after a broken heart and too much liquid courage, Avril decides to best way to get over one man, is to get under another. Looking to experience all the debauchery she’s heard about from her best friend and business partner, Dane, she requests one thing of him—take her to The Wicked Horse.

The request seems simple. One friend helping another in her time of need. But now that they’ve crossed the threshold, things aren’t as easy as they once seemed. Not only is Dane looking at Avril in a new light, but so is their other business partner and best friend, Andrew Collings. As Dane’s envy blooms, he wonders if he made the right decision when he agreed to show Avril his wicked world.

What happens when the lines of friendship are blurred and boundaries are crossed? Will their relationships survive or will jealousy tear them all apart?

Every time I open one of Sawyer’s books I am reminded why she is one of my favorite authors.

The characters she creates are always so identifiable; you get to know them and are deeply in love with all of their little quirks by the end of each book.

This story is no exception! I have a little place in my heart for best friends turned lovers stories and I’m obsessed with threesome books (even though this was a very particular one).

Avril, Dane and Andrew are a perfect tripod; they have been together for a long time and their friendship is a really healthy one. They work together perfectly and they love each other with all of their hearts; it’s always been that way. That is until they decide to visit the Wicked Horse and everything changes.

Not all changes are bad, their relationships have changed and this might be just what was missing. But it could also ruin them forever if things go bad.

The attraction between them was insane; the first scenes when they only share eye contact were the craziest ones. The strange situation and location awakened something they had no idea was lurking behind their perfect friendship, and seeing them realize just that was priceless.

But threesomes are a complicated animal and they will have to jump through a couple of loops before they can find a rhythm that works for all of them.

Is their bond strong enough to sustain this, or will they destroy each other in the way?

Hard Wood by Lauren Blakely

My Rating: 5 Stars
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Series: No.
Subject: Knowing exactly what you want can change everything.
Women often say a good man is hard to find. And a hard man is even better.

That’s why I’m quite a catch— good, hard, loaded, and wait for it…I’m ready to settle down too. But the woman I want to pitch my tent with lives clear across the country. Neither of us wants to get lost in those woods. All I have to do is resist her for the week she's in town.

I try. I swear I try. But yeah, that doesn't work out.

And after one fantastic night with my good friend Mia, I’m ready to give her years of nights under the stars. What's a few thousand miles when love's involved? But there’s a hitch in my plans — she just hired my adventure tour company. If there’s one thing I’m committed to, it’s running a squeaky clean business. Number one on my list of iron-clad rules?

Don’t screw your customers.

But what's a guy to do when she's so hard to resist? How hard can it be to keep our hands off each other for a quick group tour down the hills and over the trails? I’m about to find out, and I have a feeling I’m going to need a new badge of honor because things are about to get very hard in the woods.

It was really refreshing reading about a guy who knew what he wanted and he was not scared of sharing his feelings in order to achieve that.

Also, the fact that the book was from the guy’s perspective was a huge change from the books I usually read. We were inside his mind, he is the perfect guy every one of us dreams about and we could see just how perfect they were for each other.

Mia was sweet but her job was her life, and she didn’t even realized that until Patrick offered her a once in a life time chance to disconnect. He promised it would make a great difference and indeed it did.

She now realized that she didn’t want to stay away from him anymore and he felt the same way, the problem now is the fear that their feelings might not withstand being so far away.

The story was sweet and romantic, they both where scared of letting their feelings be known too soon and what that might cost them.

In my opinion, you can never go wrong with being your true self and letting the other person know what your feelings are. You might get hurt but in the end you will feel worse if you bottle them up and end up not knowing what could have happened if you didn’t, no regrets is always the best policy.

I let go of her hand and thread my fingers through her hair. “Get on me.”

Then I grab her hips and move her so she’s straddling my lap. She gasps, a sexy noise that turns into a moan as she sinks down on my hard-on.

I hiss because it feels so fucking good.

“I wanted to come over the other night. After dinner. After the elevator,” she blurts out.

She nods. “Dinner ran late, but I couldn’t stop thinking about you.”

“What were you thinking?”

“That we didn’t get to kiss, and I wanted to so badly.”

“I can fix that problem right now.”

I take her face in my hands and bring her to me. Then the world spirals away as I kiss Mia Summers for the very first time.

It’s extraordinary. Her lips brush against mine, and she wastes no time. She slides closer, rubbing on my dick as she presses her chest to me. It’s as if she’s climbing me, and God, how I want this. How I want her like this.

I thread my fingers through her hair, pulling her closer, kissing her deeper. Tasting her. Her mouth is soft and sweet, and she makes these little sounds—whimpers, sighs, gasps—that make me nearly lose my mind.

I’m kissing Mia. I’ve been crazy for her for so damn long, and she’s on my lap, rubbing against my erection, kissing me as if her every last breath depends on it. Her tongue tangles with mine, and in a hot second, the kiss become furious. Greedy. Like two people who are mad about each other. I curl my hands around her head, wanting to get as close as I can, but she bats them away.

I break contact for a moment and raise a questioning eyebrow.

“My turn.” She lifts her hands, cups my cheeks, and then she strokes my jaw. Reverently. Hungrily. And I know what she’s doing. She’s feeling my beard. She’s touching my stubbled jaw with eager fingers, as if she’s wanted to get her hands on me for as long as I’ve wanted to touch her.

I don’t stop her. I drop my hands to her hips, and I guide her along, moving her so she grinds against my cock, and she’s gasping and murmuring as she kisses me.

We consume each other. We are ravenous. My brain turns to static, firing pleasure signal after pleasure signal to every nerve in my body. I want to live in this moment for the rest of the night. I don’t ever want to forget how good it feels not only to kiss her, but to be kissed by her.

She rocks harder, goes faster, murmurs louder, then she separates and looks at me with desperate eyes. “You have no idea.”

I shake my head. “I do. I have every idea.”

Wicked Beginnings (Wicked Bay #1) by L.A. Cotton

My Rating: 4 Stars
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Series: Yes, Wicked Bay #1
Subject: A family full of secrets.
The first book in a brand new YA/NA crossover series from l. a. cotton

When seventeen-year-old Eloise Stone finds herself half way across the world, moving into her Uncle's pool house, she expects things to be ... awkward. She doesn't expect to come face-to-face with the boy from last summer. The boy that made her feel things she'd never felt before. But a year is a long time, and Lo isn’t the same girl she was then. Besides, they’re family now.

It’s weird.

Maverick Prince acts as if he doesn’t remember her, treating Lo like nothing more than an annoying younger sister, and not in a ‘he cares’ way, just in a ‘he’s an arsehole’ way. One thing‘s for sure, he isn’t just dangerous for her sanity—he’s hazardous for her heart.

Lo thought moving to Wicked Bay was the worst of her problems, but as life begins to unravel around her, she’s going to find out it’s only the beginning…

First book in the Wicked Bay Series and it was impossible to put it down!

Troubled Lo moves to her Uncle's pool house and she soon finds out this starting over deal will be harder than she expected.

Living with the Stones and Princes is not an easy task, she is instantly transformed into High school royalty and with that comes friends and a lot of enemies.

I liked her character a lot, she was indeed damaged by her past but she found a way of copping with her loss and still move forward. Making friends and enjoying life one step at a time.

The only problem she had now, was Maverick, she couldn't believe the odds...he was there and he was her step cousin. But there was nothing about this guy that resembled the person she met last summer, and that destroyed her every time they crossed paths.

But people have different layers and he also holds a deep secret that seems to be destroying him piece by piece. Under all of his bad ass attitude and bad manners there's a kind soul that just can't forget Lo and even though he is fighting it, there's an impending doom for them both.

Letting go of their boundaries will be scarier than anything they have faced yet, but it could also give them the happiness they have been waiting for so long.

Grigori (Brothers of Ash and Fire #1) by Lauren Smith

My Rating: 5 Stars
Sex Scenes: Yes.
Series: Yes, Brothers of Ash and Fire #1.
Subject: A true timeless love story!
He’s one of the last of a powerful but vanishing bloodline …
Grigori Barinov is the eldest in an ancient line of dragon shifters and the guardian of his family’s lands and fortune. Sworn to protect their history and magic, he won’t rest until he neutralizes any threat to their existence. When he discovers an ancient manuscript that exposes his family and their dragon lineage has fallen into a mortal woman’s hands, he knows he must get the book back by any means necessary. If that means seducing a nosy American woman with an intoxicating scent, he is more than willing to carry her off to his palatial home deep in the heart of Russia.

She’s the one woman who could expose him to the world…
Madelyn Haynes has never fit in. As an adopted child she grew up in a loving home but never felt as though she belonged. Plagued by mysterious dreams she’s had of a silver scaled beast ever since she was a little girl, she is convinced dragons are real. While in Russia working on her PhD in mythology in order to escape the ridicule from fellow professors, she unexpectedly crosses paths with the sexy and dominating Grigori, and after just one night with the man whose eyes seem to burn, she starts to change inside. Isolated in the Russian wilderness Grigori calls home, Madelyn can’t help but fall under his sensual spell, yet something deep inside her calls out that she can’t trust him. She has to show the world dragons are real to salvage academic reputation, even if it means costing her the heart of the dragon she’s falling in love with.

It’s been a long time since I’ve read a good supernatural book and I loved every second of this one!

This is the second book I’ve read about Dragon shifters and I have to say it feels like something out of a fairy tale.

The way in which the author describes these majestic creatures made me want to be there just to touch their multicolored skin. And thinking they are actually people made them even more fascinating, since I could picture their different personality traits showing in their animal form.

Madelyn was a sweet girl that seemed lost, she didn’t know exactly what fascinated her about Grigori’s picture but she couldn’t stop herself from wanting a second look. Little did she know, she will get much more than that when she gets caught up in a Shifter war.

Their connection was instant and I loved the animalistic aspect of it. Grigori’s reaction to her smell was something else; there was no way he was going to let her go after having a taste.

The love at first sight kind of thing didn’t bother me at all, because the author made us believe that there was so much more than just physical attraction and good sex; their souls knew each other on a deep level and it was destiny that brought her into his arms.

A true timeless love story! I can’t wait for the next book.
